Terms & Conditions

General

  1. The person who has purchased a course/event/tuition place is referred to as a Participant in the following Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Deposit and Fees are payable in accordance with the “Booking Conditions” relevant to the chosen course/event.
  3. Loire Music Ltd reserve the right to make changes to the teaching staff if a tutor is suddenly unable to teach on a course.
  4. The Participant undertakes to look after the premises and all equipment used during the course and is responsible for his/her own personal belongings and valuables.
  5. The Participant is responsible for looking after his/her room during residential courses at Domaine de Bel Air. Any damage or excess wear and tear may incur costs which will be billed directly to the Participant by the Domaine.
  6. The Participant is responsible for his/her own transport to and from the venue. However, for residential courses at Domaine de Bel Air, Loire Music Ltd will arrange transportation between Le Mans train station and the venue, at the times and dates published separately.The cost/share of taxis or buses to and from the station are to be met by the Participant.
  7. If attending courses in France, Participants are strongly advised to take out their own Travel, Cancellation and Medical Insurance.
  8. Any audio or video recordings of classes or performances made during any Loire Music event are for the private use of the person recording or filming and may not be broadcast or released publicly in any shape or form without the explicit consent of the performers or tutors involved.

Cancellation

  1. In the case of cancellation of a course by the Organisers, a full refund of Deposit and Fees paid will be made.
  2. In the case of cancellation by the Participant, any Deposit and/or Fees paid will be refunded only to the amount as indicated in the relevant section of the “Booking Conditions” for that particular course/event.
  3. If a Participant wishes to cancel, then he/she must do so in writing by  email.

Booking Conditions for Loire Summer School 2024

  1. Deposit –  A deposit of £200 per course is payable to secure your booking.
  2. Balance — The balance of the Course Fee must be received no later than 60 days prior to the Course start date. Your booking may be cancelled and the Deposit retained if the balance is not received by this time.
  3. Refund and Cancellation Policy — (cancellation Fees apply for each separate Course booked).                                                                                                                 a)There is a 14 day cooling off period from the date when a booking is made and 100% of the deposit will be refunded if cancelling.                                                      b)Any later cancellation will be subject to a £30 admin processing fee.                          c) If you cancel between 90 and 60 days prior to Course start date then any Deposit and/or Fee paid will be refunded, minus the sum of £70.
    d) If you cancel between 60 and 45 days prior to Course start date, any Deposit and/or Fee paid will be refunded minus the sum of £200 per course booked.              e) If you cancel between 45 and 30 days prior to course start date then any Deposit and/or Fee paid  will be refunded minus the sum of £300 per Course booked.            f)   If you cancel within 30 days or fewer of the Course start date then no Deposit and/or Fees will be refunded.
  4. Cancellation Fees will apply to each Course booked irrespective of total number of Courses booked. Please note that no exceptions will be made to the above refund terms whatever the cause of the cancellation. It is therefore important to have a good travel insurance policy in place well before the course start date.
  5. Accommodation Fee for the room reserved is payable at the time of arrival to the Domaine de Bel Air. The room Fee will correspond to the room reserved at the time of paying the Deposit for the Course ( shown on the order confirmation email). Any change to room reservations can only be made with the express agreement of Loire Music Ltd.
  6. For room booking of the twin/double type, both sharers are responsible for the total of the two room Fees so that if one person fails to attend the other person occupying the room will have to pay both room Fees. If one participant in a twin/double room cancels prior to the Course with sufficient notice it may be possible for the remaining participant to change to a single occupancy room if available.
  7. Room booking of twin/double type is only available to two participants both paying for course tuition and requires the name of the other person sharing. If no other person is named it will be assumed that the booking is for a single occupancy room and the relevant price will be applied.

Booking Conditions for Short Courses (non-Loire Summer School)

  1. A Deposit of £80 is payable at the time of booking to secure your place. If you prefer you can pay the whole Fee.
  2. The balance of the Course Fee must be received no later than 15 days prior to the Course start date. Your booking may be cancelled and the Deposit retained if the balance is not received by this date.
  3. If you cancel up to 15 days prior to the Course start date then any Fees paid, less an administrative charge of £20 will be refunded. If you cancel within 15 days of the Course start date, then no refund will be made. You can however nominate a person to take your place on the Course.

Force Majeure

  1. Loire Music Ltd  will be under no liability for any failure to perform any of its obligations if and to the extent that the failure is caused by act of God, war, riots, civil commotions, strikes, fires, breakdown of machinery, interruptions of transport, governmental action or restriction, or any other cause whatsoever that is outside the control of Loire Music Lt
